Be interesting to launch another round of applications to come in having made this information available - and you would get better applications - or - get your applicants to reapply having looked at this and spotted the gaps. Could be part of the development process of selected projects -

Re: seedcamp: 2008 application zeitgeist

This is great. Surprised to see that no one is trying to create a 'platform' and 'marketplaces' are not high on the agenda either. Great work. Sounds risky; I think investors tend to stear away from advertising-only revenue models. Now, as a lucrative secondary income, advertising is not to be ignored.

Perhaps the combined 'services' and 'service' is as big as Advertising, and the balance is present? Word clouds are attractive, but lose the context of the statements. Cool idea :-)

Re: seedcamp: 2008 application zeitgeist

Please get in touch with your business plan.

Bill Dobbie

billdobbie@gmail.com

Chairman : www.idegroup.com

Re: seedcamp: 2008 application zeitgeist

Excellent idea! Very interesting - especially the popularity of 'Advertising' as the most popular revenue model of choice (or additional revenue model I wonder); I would have thought that 'Free' would have been almost as big (given that it often goes hand-in-hand with Advertising these days) but perhaps the phrasing of the question ("How will you make money?") did not encourage the use of 'Free' as an answer!

Re: seedcamp: 2008 application zeitgeist

Very very good!

Re: seedcamp: 2008 application zeitgeist

awesome stuff guys. interesting to see what the applicants had in mind.

Re: seedcamp: 2008 application zeitgeist

Open source rulez :)!
The advertising part is a bit tricky...not always the best solution to make money.

Re: seedcamp: 2008 application zeitgeist

That is so cool.

Re: seedcamp: 2008 application zeitgeist

Hi Anna-

No need to cut us 20%, thanks though ;)

Be sure to let us know how much interest you get.

-m

Re: seedcamp: 2008 application zeitgeist

T-SHIRTS printed with the above images are now available.

email requests to: annabance@gmail.com

Sizes: Small, Medium and Large

Prices....to be confirmed

20% of profits will go to Seedcamp.
The remainder will go towards funding my startup 'GMD'
www.girlmeetsdress.com
Online luxury dress rental service

Re: seedcamp: 2008 application zeitgeist

Agreed - I was also surprised that some up-and-coming languages were absent (Erlang, Haskell, OCaml)... and no Git either.

Re: seedcamp: 2008 application zeitgeist

Really cool!
